“I have a passion for learning and self growth. I constantly challenge myself in order to get the most out of what life has to offer. I know in order to have an active, balanced life I must stay attuned to the needs of my body, mind and spirit.”

“I believe a forgotten key aspect of health is "self awareness".  Most people today live in a mental state un-attuned to their body's needs.  Receiving regular body treatments brings you back "insync" with your body and  increases your self awareness.  This awareness will allow you to decipher the signals (pain) your body sends off to indicate something is wrong.   Thus, preventing or being proactive to any injuries or diseases.”

Cassandra Varteresian • R.M.T • D.O.M.P.

Registered Massage Therapist

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (CEO-QC)

Cassandra’s interest in alternative health was inherent in her.  She believes in the philosophy to treat the cause rather than manage the symptoms.  With this belief, Osteopathy and Massage Therapy were a synchronistic path of study for her.

She defended her thesis, A qualitative historical biography of the Canadian Osteopath, Dr. Masajiro Miyazaki D.O.  in May 2013 to complete her 8 year manual Osteopathic training from the Montréal based Collèges d’études Ostéopathique (C.E.O),

Her 8 year in depth study of how the body is intricately connected and its functions to design, has qualified  her to assess and prescribe a treatment protocol to bring ease of mobility and alleviate discomfort.

Osteopathy benefits all aspects of health: physical, emotional and spiritual.  The key element in maintaining health is to maintain and reestablish communication of  all systems within the body.  In this way the body can synchronize its activities, heal itself, and adapt to the stresses of life. (A “stress” by definition: is anything emotional, physical or external that is affecting the body’s internal balance.)

In December 1999, Cassandra received her Massage Therapy Diploma from one of the highest accredited schools in North America, West Coast College of Massage Therapy, (W.C.C.M.T).   This 3 year intensive program included comprehensive studies of anatomy, physiology, systemic and spinal orthopedics, surgery, neurology, medications, athletics, kinesiology, hydrotherapy, nutrition, remedial exercises and pathology. As well as practical training in the management of chronic diseases, injuries and the effects of short and long term stress.  With this training, Cassandra is qualified to assess and manage treatment of  ailments  and or injuries affecting the body.

To fine tune her palpation skills In Cassandra completed a 6 day human cadaver dissection workshop.  This allowed her to fully appreciate the body’s intricate structure and function.

October 2002 Cassandra earned a Black Belt in Sport Kickboxing (SKF) from Champions Martial Arts Academy in North Vancouver. 8 years of intensive martial art training taught her with the right guidance, focus and determination the body is capable of anything.

To explore the energetic side of the body she completed 2 modules of the Osteopathically originated, Body-Talk system. This course made her aware of the body’s innate ability to heal.  It also enhanced her communication skills with the body on an energetic level.

Cassandra is passionate about learning and exploring the most advanced tools and techniques to incorporate into her treatments.  She is continually upgrading her skills to bring the best expertise to her practice. The additional course she has completed in the last 3 years include; Mechanical Link, Structural Assessment Technique (S.A.T), Central Chain and its Elements, Endocranial Spasm, 2 courses of Minimal Lever and Enhanced Palpation exploring the energetic levels.
